For I am the Lord, I change not….

(Malachi 3:16)

When you start a journey, you have a destination in mind and a plan on how to get there. Sometimes, however, unexpected detours meet you on the road and you must make adjustments. Even your detours may contain a maze of other detours that bog you down in details that frustrate you. Still, no matter how lost you get, you know that certain things never change: the sun always rises in east and sets in the west. Wherever you are in the maze, you can know where you are by looking up.

Likewise, your life may be a tangle of detours, unpleasant surprises, and unexpected delays. Look up, My Friend! God is in the same place He has always been, His love for you has not changed, and His plan for your life is still on track. God is still able to do exceeding abundantly above all you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). You are still more than a conqueror through Him Who loved you (Romans 8:37) and you still can do all things through Him Who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). The promises of God are still “yes” through Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20)! Nothing has changed but your circumstances; the Solution never will!

The question is not about God and His faithfulness, but are you, in the midst of life’s detours, going to trust Him…still?

Welcome to Encouragement Outpost! My name is Dr. Georgia Pointer, a Christian writer who loves encouraging people in their relationship with Christ. I am a survivor of childhood rape and molestation, bullying, and emotional abuse. Negative thought patterns plagued me for many years until I learned to allow Christ and His Word to encourage and transform those thoughts. This background provides me with a passion to offer the same encouragement to anyone, not just abuse survivors, with the light of biblical truth that shines against the darkness of negativity, lies of the enemy, and daily struggles in living for Christ. I am a seminary graduate with a Masters in Christian Education. I also recently received my doctorate in Christian Counseling with a specialty in Family and Substance Abuse counseling. I served on staff for six years as a counselor at Moriah House of the Memphis Union Mission. I love the Word of God! I love studying it, teaching it, and speaking in public about it any chance I get. This blog, which I post about once a week, is my venue to share insights I glean. So, I invite you to subscribe to receive my weekly posts in your email and to share these posts with anyone you think might be encouraged by them.
