How Very Much Love

“ See how very much our Father loves us” 1John 3:1 (NLT).

There is no way to measure the love Jesus has for you. The cross was His way of saying to you, “Be Mine forever.” It also showed that nothing was too much trouble to go through to win you back (Hebrews 12:2). He loves you more than your parents or spouse or children ever could, my friend. His love started before you were even born (Ephesians 1:4). When your heart is broken, He never leaves your side (Psalm 34:18). He keeps all your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8).

In lieu of flowers, He brings new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). His Holy Spirit is a promise ring showing the world you belong to Him (Ephesians1:13). He’s coming back for you one day and He’s working on a mansion for you (John 14:3). Is it so hard to believe it’s decorated with all your favorite colors? His Word is His love letter to you. Read it and blush at all the ways He says He loves you. As your Provider, He knows what you need before you even ask (Matthew 6:38). His resurrection proved you can believe everything else He says. Your heart can securely trust Him. He is always talking to His Father about you (Hebrews 7:25). Other loves may fade, sour, or even end in death, but His endures forever (Jeremiah 31:3).

Welcome to Encouragement Outpost! My name is Dr. Georgia Pointer, a Christian writer who loves encouraging people in their relationship with Christ. I am a survivor of childhood rape and molestation, bullying, and emotional abuse. Negative thought patterns plagued me for many years until I learned to allow Christ and His Word to encourage and transform those thoughts. This background provides me with a passion to offer the same encouragement to anyone, not just abuse survivors, with the light of biblical truth that shines against the darkness of negativity, lies of the enemy, and daily struggles in living for Christ. I am a seminary graduate with a Masters in Christian Education. I also recently received my doctorate in Christian Counseling with a specialty in Family and Substance Abuse counseling. I served on staff for six years as a counselor at Moriah House of the Memphis Union Mission. I love the Word of God! I love studying it, teaching it, and speaking in public about it any chance I get. This blog, which I post about once a week, is my venue to share insights I glean. So, I invite you to subscribe to receive my weekly posts in your email and to share these posts with anyone you think might be encouraged by them.
